If you were to mention something that comes to mind when you hear about Korean food, what would you think? grilled meats, spicy foods, dog meat and kimchi probably will all come to mind. Did you know that Korean food is also one of the world's healthiest cuisines? Most dinners have maximum caloric intake of less than 600 calories. Compare to eat pizza that has more than 1,000 calories and it's not hard to see why Korea is not known due to obesity.

Here are some reasons why Korean food can be great for you:



• Food - Eat do not eat in Korea without some kind of soup. They are a great way to fill up without giving a large amount of calories.

You have to watch the amount of rice you eat, but if you were to stick with the Korean diet for a month, most people will find they start to shed pounds. Instead of depression, the rise of Western food chains in Korea has seen a rapid increase in obesity with burgers, chips and snacks found their way to school lunchboxes.
